Terrazza Triennale is the rooftop restaurant of the Palazzo dell’Arte in Milan, home of Triennale Milano. The visual identity is rooted in a direct relationship with the building’s architecture, translating its layered structure into an essential graphic language.
The challenge
The project required a visual system able to sit within a highly defined context without adding visual noise. The goal was to create an identity that feels recognizable yet discreet, balancing the institutional character of Triennale with the informal experience of the restaurant.
The solution
The logo is built from geometric, parallel lines that reference the different levels of the building and the ascent toward the rooftop. At the same time, the mark establishes a dialogue with the Triennale logo, echoing its structure and rhythm. The graphic system works through reduction: clean typography, controlled proportions, and generous use of space. Applied across the restaurant’s materials, the identity supports the experience without overpowering it, leaving room for architecture, light, and the view over the city.
